Manual Entry

Manual entry saves your highlighted text without asking an AI model for an automatic gloss. Use it when you want full control, when local AI is unavailable, or when you prefer to add meanings later.

When manual mode helps

• You are reading somewhere with no local model running.
• Ollama is offline or Nano is not available in Chrome.
• You want to decide the English gloss yourself instead of accepting an automatic suggestion.

How it works

1. Open the LingoLark toolbar popup.
2. Set Translation model to Manual entry.
3. Save phrases as usual from the side panel or context menu.
4. Add or edit glosses from the saved list.

Manual entries still belong to your vocabulary list and keep the page where you found them. The difference is only how the English side gets filled in.
